SilverStripe OpenID authentication module now compatible with SilverStripe 2.4

March 4, 2011

Quinn Interactive Chief Engineer Fred Condo has adopted the auth_openid module, originally developed by Markus Lanthaler for the 2007 Google Summer of Code. The module wasn't compatible with SilverStripe 2.4, but now a 2.4-compatible version is available on GitHub.

Although we can't provide free support for OpenID, if you find a bug, please use GitHub to report it. If you fix a bug, please fork the repository and submit a pull request!

OpenID is a single-sign-on system that enables users to sign in to SilverStripe sites using a single password provided by an OpenID provider. Providers include Google, Yahoo, and MyOpenID. There's a longer list at OpenID.net.
