Quinn Interactive launched a clean, easy-to-navigate website for the San Francisco Center for Economic Development that allows the three-person agency, which is housed at the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, to update their site with ease and reliability. After selecting the MODx web content management system (CMS), Quinn created the information architecture, user interface, visual design and custom programming to support the SFCED’s global mission of building and retaining business in San Francisco.

MODx is an open source CMS that has a simple administration interface allowing for fast site updates and clear content management. It is an excellent selection for small to medium sized websites. MODx was a perfect fit for SFCED’s page count and content types. It also features UTF-8 and internationalization that supports SFCED’s ChinaSF initiative, published in English and Chinese on their site.

“Finding the right CMS solution for our clients is one of our major goals,” said Phil Quinn, president of Quinn Interactive. “For SFCED, we considered several options that our developers regularly implement. MODx was the right fit for this website because of the size and scope of the project, and the skill set of the website administrators.”

The SFCED works collaboratively with the city and county of San Francisco and other like-minded organizations to promote a thriving economic climate by attracting and retaining businesses in San Francisco and promoting a business friendly environment. They have the information, resources, and relationships to assist in relocation selection decisions.
